Game Advert Project 2004- Example 4

Here I made the entire scene. The skin was most important as I wanted to make it look real. I simply made a blend of a skin colour bumped with a black and white vain image and another skin colour that had fine strands of black and white hairs. Both black and white images were created in Photoshop. The initial skin colour was made of three layers - the first being a pinky colour, the second being a blotchy range of light and dark pinks, and the third consisting of a dot here and here to represent natural moles and skin bumps. Finally I added Quickdirt to give the skin a grubby and dirty 15th Century feel. For the bow I used a wood map and then bumped it slightly with the same map to give more realism. The blade is the same material used as the armour on knights which has been explained in example 3. The leather is a simple brown colour with the reflectivity increased slightly and a bump map of desert floor cracks.

For the lighting I simply used the three point lighting system but with a tint of yellow to express midday sunshine. Finally I projected light but with added noise to give sunlight beam through the trees.
