Self Elected Project 2005 - Example 1
For my self elected project I decided to set it upon a classic Mini Cooper. In the animation sequence I wanted to show the character of the Mini through the process of it building itself in a similar order to real life car manufacture. So from this I realised that there will be many features portrayed from nuts and bolts to an entire shell. Here is an example of the finished shell. I made it via spline modelling and have applied a blended dirt texture to it representing wet and dry dirt. The first being a simple red colour which was blended with a dark desert floor map but at accordance to a simple black and white splat map. The second blend was basically the same as the previous but with a darker desert floor map, decreased tolerance on the splat map, and a bump map activated with noise on each of the splat regions. And finally I blended both of my blend materials to an even mixture. Finally I added Quickdirt to the models to give a worn dirt/rust effect.
